The Trademark Registration Process

  • Comprehensive Search & Strategy

    Before filing, we conduct a deep-dive search in the Ministry of Economy database to ensure no similar marks exist. We also provide a Cultural Sensitivity Audit to ensure your brand name translates positively in Arabic.

  • Application Submission

    We prepare and file your application electronically. Required documents include:
    1. A high-resolution copy of the Trademark Logo.
    2. Your valid UAE Business License.
    3. A clear list of goods/services (based on the latest 13th Ed. classes).
    4. Passport copy of the applicant.
    5. Power of Attorney (notarized and legalized).

  • Step 3: Ministry Review & Publication

    The Ministry of Economy examines the mark for distinctiveness and compliance. Once approved, the trademark is published in the Official Trademark Bulletin and two local Arabic newspapers

  • Step 4: The 30-Day Objection Period

    The public has 30 days to raise any objections. If no oppositions are filed, the trademark moves to final registration.

  • Step 5: Certification

    Upon final payment, the Ministry issues your UAE Trademark Registration Certificate, valid for 10 years from the filing date.
